Life in the Borderlands

Gloria Anzaldua was born inside Rio Grande Valley associated with South Texas in 1942. She described herself to be a Chicana/Tejana/lesbian/dyke/feminist/writer/poet/cultural theorist, and these identities were just the start of the thoughts she looked into in her work.

It included writings by well-known feminists like Audre Lorde and Happiness Harjo, again in fragmented sections with titles for example “Still Trembles our Rage when confronted with Racism” and “(De)Colonized Selves. ”

Other Life Work

Gloria Anzaldua was a fervent observer of art plus spirituality and brought these kinds of influences to her writings also. She taught throughout her life and labored on a doctoral dissertation, which she was cannot end due to overall health complications and professional involves. UC Santa Cruz in the future awarded her a posthumous PhD around literature.
